Step 17 = Choose a multi-tasking bathroom air freshener.
Most of us have an aerosol air freshener in the bathroom. I suggest choosing an aerosol that works hard and multitasks (to cut down on the number of bottles and products taking up precious space).
Dettol All In One Disinfectant Spray has a 'clean' smell that freshens up toilet aromas. It can also be used to spray toilet flush handles and taps (when you haven't got time to clean them properly with hot water and anti-bacterial cleaner). I found this aerosol essential for potty training (after rinsing the potty, give it a spray to kill germs - it air dries fast). Child toilet-training seats can be sprayed periodically to keep nasties at bay. When illness strikes in the household, this aerosol can be used to disinfect light switches (spray onto a paper towel first and then wipe), door handles, keys etc.
The only drawback is the metal rim that the spray sits on. In a bathroom setting it goes rusty fast. To overcome this, use clear nail varnish to paint a protective layer around the base rim. Allow the varnish to dry and the rust problem is solved.
Does your current bathroom air freshener aerosol work this hard?
