Step 9 - Treat wet hair very, very gently.
Wet hair breaks far more easily than dry. Wet hair tangles and snags into impossible knots. So, be extra kind to wet hair.
Squeeze the excess water out by hand and wrap your hair in a turban-towel (the ones available from by the checkouts in Primark are okay but rather small, the Hopeshine ones on Amazon are large, soft and absorbent).
Using a hair-turban-towel will stop you absentmindedly rubbing your hair. The turban-towel simply soaks up the moisture without any rubbing and without causing breakages / knots.
If you need it, be sure to apply a leave-in conditioner (such as a tiny bit of coconut oil) within five minutes of finishing your hair wash - or your hair will be frizzy once it dries, due to the curious drying-effect of water.
When brushing wet hair, do so very gently, use a wide-toothed comb or brush, ensure that you have used a wash-out conditioner / added leave-in conditioner, then work the knots from the ends down, then mid-way down and finally from the roots down. Brush wet hair as little as possible, but of course do get the knots and tangles out before drying.
Be kind to your hair. Be extra kind to your wet hair.
