Step 24 = Choose your loo brush carefully!
I have been searching for the perfect toilet brush and holder combo for years. The good news is I have found it.
(Being a domestic cleaner really does have its perks - you get to try out everyone else's cleaning products and tools, thus finding those which really do work).
I really detest loo brushes which are wet and slimy germ-traps. Most loo brush holders don't allow air to circulate around the brush bristles, making it no wonder that almost all are revolting and need binning every few months. I wanted a toilet brush plus holder set that was hygienic and long-lasting.
The toilet brush holder pictured is the 'Aqualona Sandstorm' from Very and costs £15. This holder keeps the loo brush suspended in mid-air, so it can air dry after use - what a genius design! The loo brush which comes with it is an impractical white, so I swapped it for a practical 'Bolmen' black toilet brush from Ikea, for just 75p!
Go and have a look at your loo brush. If it is in a pitiful state then please consider updating it with a long-lasting holder and brush combo, so you aren't harbouring germs unnecessarily in your bathroom and so that you aren't throwing away loo brushes every few months.
